No Regrets

“When I was a child,” Paul writes in his first letter to the Corinthians, “I spoke as a child… (but) when I became a man, I gave up childish ways” (I Corinthians 13:11).

Nothing is as deadly to our spiritual path as regretful memories of old attitudes or actions that did not, perhaps, conform to our present level of spiritual awareness.

It doesn’t matter. We don’t earn divine Love through obedience to the details of the Law.  It isn’t even a question of good works. It’s about simply accepting the Love available to us as soon as we are able to perceive it. It is then that we spiritually grow into awareness and expression of our true spiritual Selves.

No one blames a child for having childish ideas, or for expressing them in childish ways. They are appropriate to that particular stage of awareness. The key, the essential ingredient, is our willingness to set aside childish things—and the false sense of security they seem to offer—as  we grow in spiritual awareness.

Today I release all judgments of myself and others. I set aside childish things and choose to ‘grow up’ in spiritual awareness, claiming my Power as love, joy, abundance and all Good.
